While more students are enrolling in online MBA programs as a way to balance a hectic schedule while still earning an education, some MBA schools are beginning to offer hybrid courses so that students can have both the online and classroom experience.
These hybrid programs are becoming popular among MBA students who are looking for an alternative method of pursuing their degree, according to the Wall Street Journal.
This has become a popular option as students can still receive the classroom time they desire while not having to commit to a full-time commute.
Additionally, more schools are beginning to offer hybrid programs as Dan LeClair, the vice president and chief knowledge officer for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, told the news provider that once programs pay off the initial set-up fees, the hybrid programs are generally low in cost to maintain.
Students are also finding that employers take note of the fact that they attended a good MBA program, which provides them with employment opportunities.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment rates for MBAs are higher than those with bachelor's degrees.
