Many individuals are finding that jobs are harder to come by than they were a few years ago. The recession has made many companies enact a hiring freeze that has prevented job seekers from finding positions. However, some economic analysts believe that MBA students may have the extra edge when applying to jobs.
In recent findings from the Current Population Survey, the higher degree one holds, the more income they will make throughout their lifetime, according to The Southern. The news provider reports that many students are choosing to further their education with MBA degrees with the hope of landing a job, as statistics show that MBAs experience less unemployment than individuals with bachelor's degrees.
"Getting as much education as I can will guarantee me a better career and a better way of life," undergraduate Caitlin Raynor told the news provider about her plans for graduate school. "I can't allow for cost to change my plans for the future because I know that in the need it will work."
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, MBA students make an average of $221 more in weekly salary than those with bachelor's degrees.
