When companies are faced with the exit of a leader, they often have to scramble to fill the vacant position. Typically, businesses try to find the most qualified individuals to take on the responsibilities, many of whom have MBA degrees.
American Gaming Systems (AGS), recently announced that Robert L. Miodunski, who has an MBA degree, will become the company's new chairman interim president and chief executive officer (CEO).
Miodunski has had previous experience serving in a CEO capacity. In 2004, he decided to retire from his position of CEO for Alliance Gaming, after serving in the position for five years. During his tenure, the company's publicly traded stock price moved from below $2 a share to more than $100.
Executives took note of Miodunski's track record and thought that he would be a good fit for the position.
"Alpine has decided to put strong financial backing behind and specific emphasis on its investment in AGS," said Graham Weaver, President of Alpine Investors, " Bob Miodunski delivers the credibility, the leadership and the motivation we need to take AGS to another level."
