As is typical with many companies, executives often look for the most qualified individuals to take on vacant leadership spots, as they may be able to offer strategies to keep the company running properly.
ERA Carbon Offsets, which focuses in forest restoration and conservation carbon offset projects, has announced that Jeff Calvert will become the company's new chief financial officer (CFO), following the resignation of the previous position holder, Herrick Lau.
Calvert, who has an MBA degree, has more than 20 years of experience in holding various senior positions. Prior to receiving this position, Calvert was the director of finance for ERA since February 2010, after joining from Borealis Carbon Offsets Limited, where he was a managing director for two years.
"We are very pleased and excited to announce the appointment of Jeff Calvert as ERA's Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Calvert's unwavering focus on financial performance and accountability is balanced by a strong understanding of the carbon markets and exemplary communications skills," Robert Falls, chief executive officer (CEO) of ERA, said.
