As more individuals are looking to enroll in MBA programs, many schools are creating additional curricula in order to meet the demand.
Trevecca Nazarene University has teamed up with Columbia State Community College to offer an MBA degree, according to the Daily Herald. The program will begin on February 1, 2011 and will be taught by Trevecca's faculty members.
Academic administrators told the news provider that they felt that by offering such a degree, many students who may not otherwise enroll in an MBA program have the chance to further their education.
"We are pleased to announce our expanded partnership with Trevecca Nazarene University," Marilia Gerges, University Center director at Columbia State, told the news provider. "It is a perfect example of how Columbia State partners with private and state higher education institutions to make masters degrees accessible to the community Columbia State serves."
Having an MBA degree may be beneficial when it comes to employment. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobless rates for MBAs is much lower than for those with just bachelor's degrees.
