While many people may believe that an MBA degree is specifically for business students, there are other focuses of curricula that the student can study, such as finance.
Modine Manufacturing Company, which creates thermal management technology and solutions, recently announced the appointment of Michael B. Lucareli as the company's vice president of finance, chief financial officer (CFO) and treasurer. He will be in charge of the company's global finance, accounting and investor relations.
In addition to his extensive financial background, Lucareli also has an MBA degree. He has worked for Modine for the past 11 years, holding various positions related to business development, strategic planning, investor relations and operational accounting.
"We evaluated numerous highly qualified candidates over the last eight months," said Thomas Burke, Modine president and chief executive officer (CEO). "We were very deliberate in our search process and it served us well. Mick proved to be the best candidate and I am delighted that he will step into this very important position."
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, many professions in the finance sector require an MBA.
